What is it you suffer from? And what is the cause of your unease, worry, tension and your pain?
“The greater part of human pain is unnecessary. It’s self-created as long as the unobserved mind runs your life.” – Eckart Tolle
At the moment I’m rekindling some profound knowledge from the early books I read from spiritual teachers. This week it’s all about ‘The Power of Now’ written by Eckart Tolle.
Today’s meditation is inspired about chapter two of the book, where Eckart talks about the way out of pain. He describes that we have two bodies. One is our inner body that is always present and the other is our pain body that is a creation of the identification with our mind & the emotional result of that identification.
“The pain-body wants to survive, just like every other entity in existence, and it can only survive if it gets you to unconsciously identify with it. It can then rise up, take you over, “become you,” and live through you.”
I like knowledge like this, because it has clarity. You can visualise an entity that is caused by identification with the mind, what is easier to distance yourself from.
So let’s meditate together with this Dissolving the Pain Body Meditation.
