How do I protect myself from negative energy?
A question that went to the top of my list after I became aware of the influences of fear. I came to the conclusion that my automatic pilot was making decisions without my consent.
I wasn’t having it… I wanted answers.
But I was still in that space, that you know something is about to change, and you’re still in the dark on what it is and where it’ll go. Well, thankfully I already build some hope and trust that I was on the right path. So I did just that! I kept the faith: worry wasn’t going to break me.
I knew I had to take care of myself, because as I had learned: “Only I’m responsible for my wellbeing.” I had to protect myself and I knew it needed to come from within me.
I discovered I liked to imagine stories during my meditations and over time I created a powerful way to armour myself against the influences of fear.
Visualising that you’re powerful can do the trick. Visualising that you’re protected will give you strength and confidence.
“When I close my eyes and believe that I’m divinely protected I am.” I believe that! No fear can make me weak.
Doing a protection meditation every morning creates a shield that will protect me from negativity and will keep me focused on the fun sides of life.
You see, it’s your responsibility to start with a full cup of energy. You don’t want to waist your time feeling like a victim and complaining about everything that’s wrong. You want to be focused on happy and joyful things. You want to start the day with a smile on your face.
I choose to feel safe and protected.
Here are 4 steps that will help you deflect negative energy:
1. Create a morning ritual, especially when you know it’s going to be a “hard” day.
You’ll be aware of the negative and positive energies coming your way. By taking the time in the morning you’ll prepare yourself and protect yourself so you can deflect negativity either on a conscious or unconscious level. This is the power of a morning ritual! You can block 7 minutes to do this weeks “Protection Shield” meditation.
2. Become observant of what drains you!
People can be energy givers or energy takers. If you’re sensitive like me you need the awareness to examen what energy is good for you and what isn’t. Observing your behaviour and what effects you and your body is key to master protection.
3. Phasing out!
This is where you’re responsibility comes up. When you know what drains you, you have to ask yourself if this is something you want to have in your life. Can you phase it out? Can you walk away? And what if you don’t? In the end it’s about your well-being, that should be your top priority. When you’re on your best, you can serve your life and others best.
4. Know that you have the controls!
Many people feel like they can’t change their lives. “It’s impossible.” I can tell you that you’re always able to change your life. If you believe you can’t, you need to change your self-talk. You can do anything your heart desires. You need to want it. You need to want to do the work. Fear is the one telling you that you can’t. So do you want to be manipulated by fear or do you want to work to live an awesome and adventures life focused on happy things? You’re choice! When you choose to believe that you can, you will attract that energy and the universe will grant you what your heart desires.
