Yesterday I walked through the supermarket. Ever since the Dutch government decided to urge us to stay indoors, I choose to go as little as possible, which hopefully is enough groceries that will last my hubby & me for over a week.
So I’m in the supermarket at 8pm in the evening. It’s not busy at all, and still the experience was bizar. I guess you’re just really cautious. Everyone could have the virus. My sympathetic nervous system was on heat, so to speak.
When I came home I was in shock. I experienced thoughts that weren’t me. My ego was questioning & rectifying every behaviour.
“Why is she taking so long
to choose some cheese?
Move woman…,
so I can grab my cheese!”
As a pleaser, a control freak, an ex-addict with a tendency to anxiety & depression, I see clearly that under these circumstances I could fall back into the trap of ego. Therefor all my me-time moments & spiritual tools are vital for keeping me mentally strong.
I don’t want to hide
what I’m truly feeling.
That will just
eat me up inside.
Feelings are just sensations that all started as a thought.
So in these times when you are missing out on events with friends and you have to stay indoors that can be incredibly disappointing. We need to process this disappointment. And any other feelings that can trigger you to make choices that are not YOU or even worse send you to the dark side, you need to acknowledge these feelings. Make them part of the moment.
When you don’t
process these feelings,
your negative ego will take over
and fear will control your decisions.
In these uncertain times
it’s crucial to stay mentally strong.
So I created a guided meditation and this one is all about processing your feelings. Allow whatever you think, feel or experience to be part of the moment, because YOU are able, even though you feel stuff, to ignore the impulse. You have that power inside YOU. Hopefully this meditation brings you that awareness.
So click here or on the video below, sit in a comfortable position and start processing your feelings.
