#2 Eat Pray Learn Retreat
Tuscany

May 2016

  Montevarchi, Italy

The Eat Pray Learn Retreat originated from the movie Eat Pray Love written by fabulousness Elizabeth Gilbert. At our second retreat in May 2016 we welcomed a group of unique men and women from all over the world. They all wanted to create a successful and profitable coaching/healing business. After the gallery on this page you can read more about this event.

SECOND EAT PRAY LEARN RETREAT MAY 2016

From October 2015 till May 2016 Carl and I worked very hard to enrol 6 people for our retreat.
We hoped it would be easier than the first retreat, but we were also worried if the first time we had ‘beginners luck’. Would we deliver a second time? The pressure was on…
We found out it’s finding the right clients that fit the schedule and program what is the hardest.
The story of Jack Canfield, author of “Chicken Soup for the Soul” became reality for us. The story goes that Jack’s book was turned down around 300 times before finally a publisher said yes, and now it’s one of the most sold help-books in history….. Well, as Carl and I hope the outcome will be the same for our retreat, at the time we were having issues with all the NO’s and we’re having a hard time with the disappointment that came with it.
What made us continue was faith! I believed that we were guided. We believed that this was our path and nobody told us that it was going to be easy. So we supported each other and followed through.
In May 2016 when we landed in Pisa to go to Agriturismo Relais Campiglioni I got a text of the owner saying I was in for a surprise. I immediately knew that this wasn’t going to be a fun one. And I was right. When we arrived at Campiglioni they had rebuild the main house and everything was still in scaffolding with the painters and builders still at work. The pool was still winter proof. It looked absolutely not presentable for our guests that were arriving the next day.
So as production manager there was no other choice than to deal with the situation. I ‘took over the venue’ and made sure that everything was up and running for our guests. Carl and I were exhausted when the guests arrived.
KarinBjörnMeeraYvonneCarles and Richard joined us for one week. We had 50% men what was awesome to experience. The dynamic of the group was different, but the whole feeling of transformation was the same.
Everyone indulged in Italian food and wine again. Everyone enjoyed the exclusive venue. We took them on an excursion to Pienza and Siena again.
After one week Carl and I felt tired, but also satisfied. We delivered our content. We had 6 satisfied customers again.
This whole week was rewarding. Watching the transformation of our guests and being allowed to witness there journey made us forget about the hard work, made us forget about all the disappointments of hundreds of people saying no at the enrolment calls. It made it all worth it.
We felt guided. Everything was as it supposed to be! I felt strongly to follow through and not give up.
So before we left we booked another week to host our third retreat. Making sure that the owner of the venue wasn’t going to rebuild anything else around that time…. Wasn’t in the mood for another surprise. ?
