There are many different ways to meditate. I love to guide you with a meditation. These are called guided meditations where I take you on a journey. This can be through visualisation, with positive affirmation or else. These guided meditations are easy to follow.
But today I want to challenge you, because we are going to what is considered the ‘real’ meditation practice. I’m going to hand you focus points.
When you have a focus point or a Drishti as we call it in Yogaland, you have something to turn back to whenever you are aware that your thoughts have distracted you. Sometimes you do this 10 times in a minute, sometimes a 100 times and sometimes even more, but know that all is good.
Every time you do this you train yourself to become aware of what is going on in the mind, so that the mind looses it’s influence over you.
The mind works for you
and not the
other way around.
In today’s meditation i’m going to lead you in and we are going to use the breath and the Mantra “So Hum” as a focus point. A mantra is a word or sound repeated to aid concentration in meditation.
I really am a bit nervous because it also means that I have to shut up for a while and that’s not my best quality….. so where in this together.
Let’s meditate with this Meditation That Creates Focus & Concentration.
