“Dancing with the stream of your breath provides a solid foundation to come home to.”
“Always busy! I have no time. I wish I could do….”
When I start sentences like this I know I need to wind down. Pushing myself to the limit, and on occasion over the limit is something that has become like second nature to me.
As a professional dancer my body had nothing to say. It was an instrument and it needed to preform. When it was tired, I pushed! When I was injured, I pushed! I pushed and I pushed until finally something snapped and the consequences were enormous.
The most precious gift Yoga and Meditation has given me was the ability to listen to my own body. I now communicate with this extraordinary vessel. I listen and when I’m aware I’m too full with negative emotions and endure too many negative thoughts, I know I have to refresh myself.
“The most precious gift Yoga and Meditation has given me was the ability to listen to my own body.”
The 2 Ways that keeps my body fresh are…
Way #1 – I practice deep and slow breathing daily.
I imagine my breath as a healer. I visualise my body as a tank that I can empty out and fill with brand new healthy energy. By breathing deep and slow I guide my breath through my whole body reaching even the darkest corners, giving every cell in my body love and light. I imagine every cell in my body doing a ‘happy-dance’ while the light heals them.
Way #2 – I believe I can heal my body by breathing deeply.
Now you can choose to be sceptical or align with any other influence from fear, but I know for a fact that I am my own thoughts. I will not be a victim of fear, so I choose my own thoughts and beliefs. Therefor I believe that I can heal my body by breathing deeply, and there’s no one who can talk me out of that, because I’m certain it comes from a place of love.
“So when you’re fearful, overwhelmed and stressed of keeping to many balls in the air, stop and take the time to refresh your body by breathing deeply.”
In this short meditation you’ll experience refreshing your body using your breath.
